Accessibility: All shuttle buses are accessible to riders with disabilities, however, the majority of buses used during weekdays will be lift-equipped, coach-style buses. Accessible van service will also be available on weekdays between Alewife and Park Street for those who prefer it – riders should see station personnel to request this service. The majority of shuttle bus service on weekends are low-floor, ramp-buses. Express Shuttles Between Harvard and South Station: Free and accessible express shuttles will be operating between Harvard (Eliot St @ Bennett St) and the South Station Bus Terminal (Gate 37). They will run every 15 minutes. Alternative Bus Service: Riders can use Bus Routes 69, 87, 88, 89, 91, and 109 from Davis Square, Harvard Square, and Central Square to connect with the Green Line’s Medford/Tufts and Union Square branches. Alternate Rail Service: Riders can use fare-free Commuter Rail service between Porter Sq and North Station. Regular fares should be purchased for travel beyond Porter. Scope of Work: Crews will replace and upgrade the track area at Chinatown while also upgrading signals at Wellington and North Station which will strengthen service reliability. Local Shuttle Service: Free and accessible shuttle buses will service all stations between Oak Grove and North Station. Express Shuttle Service: Free and accessible shuttles will service Oak Grove, Malden Center, Wellington, and North Station. Accessible Vans: Accessible vans will be available at downtown Orange Line stations between Back Bay and North Station, as well as Copley on the Green Line. See station personnel for assistance.
